About College

Sharanabasaveshwar College of Arts was started under the patronage and blessings of Lingaikya Poojya Doddappa Appa, the 7th Peethadhipati and the founder President of Sharanabasaveshwar Vidya Vardhak Sangha, Kalaburgi in the year 1956. Our College is permanently affiliated to Gulbarag University, Kalaburgi, and comes under 2 (f) and 12 (B) as per 1956 UGC Act. This institution is one of the earliest Arts colleges in this area. It has become one of the prestigious institution here has been a reliable infrastructure development with both men and material aiming and fulfilling quality education. It also aims to educate the students with positive thinking and develop dasoha culture, scientific temper, human values, life skills, and academic excellence to compete with the demanding world.. .

Our institution gives importance to all-round development of the students. Personality development programs help students in developing effective communication skills, team spirit and boost confidence level and attitude which helps them in building better career. Our college gives intensive coaching to the students so as to make them perfect and proficient in their subject. For this we invite resourceful persons and arrange special lectures for our students. Our college provides remedial classes to the slow learners in all the subjects like Accountancy, Economics, Quantitative Techniques and Business law. Special coaching classes were conducted especially to infuse the Communication skills.

The institution is located on a mound covering an area of about four acres. The College is housed in a big and specious building, situated in a large beautiful campus on the hillock. It has a picturesque landscape with beautiful greenery in its surrounding and moreover group of altruistic human resource took special interest in this endeavor. Every year our college students make university records by getting distinctions with Gold medals and ranks in Sports & Cultural activities

Digital Library, it has a rich collection of books and journals which are bar coded. Students are provided ID cards. The College has subscribed as member of Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre of UGC, Ahmadabad through which they can access to e- resources .The library is kept open from 8 A.M to 5.P.M. A separate reading room for newspapers, magazine and periodicals are provided. A student in the campus has endless possibilities of journey through human experience. Recognizing that the real need of every human being is self actualization, The consequence of such outlets of expression is the humanizing of students.
